Vyacheslav Nikonov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, says Russia has 'no plans of invading Ukraine'.

He says 'it is NATO who are building an escalating threat' and Russia had no plans to invade Ukraine - and they were just conducting military exercises in the region.

More than 140,000 Russian troops are positioned along the Ukrainian border and six warships are currently in the Black Sea.

He spoke to Sky's Anna Botting.
